This
is a card from the deck of
Pick a Card ~ Any Card.
The listed
coordinates are not the coordinates for the cache.
To find the cache you must make the best
poker hands
you can out of the minutes in the listed coordinates both north and
west – (do not use the 42 or the 71 which are the degrees) . Since
deuces are wild, any number from 1 to 9 can be substituted for the
twos. Ace (1) is high for combinations but can be considered low
for straights.
For example if the decimal minutes were 45.562 you could probably
call the two a six for two pair (sixes and fives) However you would
be wrong because a better hand would be to change the two for a
five which would give you three fives (three of a kind) which beats
two pair.
If the decimal minutes were 54.682 you could change the two into an
eight for a pair of eights, six high, but a better choice would be
to call it a seven and play the inside straight.
Do this for both the North and West “hands” and you will have the
true cache coordinates.
To find the parking, subtract .096 from the north decimal minutes
and add .166 to the west decimal minutes.
The trail is short and has some historical significance. However
the second half is somewhat overgrown and there is some poison ivy
present. Protective clothing is suggested. The cache is a small one
which contains a logbook and other size-appropriate items.
Have fun and good luck!
UPDATE 4/25/08 I have moved the cache to the other side of the
trail in response to the many logs that say that is where it should
be.
