Geocache Description:

This Cache is next to a fellside path with fantastic views of Ullswater.

The cache is best combined with a trip to Aira Force waterfall and a cache of the same name. The fall has a bridge right over the top for a birdseye view.

This cache is best not attempted directly from the roadside unless you are very fit and brave.

Paid carparking and a tea room and toilets can be found at the Aira Force car park next to the A592. Free carparking can be found above the falls towards Dokray on the A5091, which is 1st right after aira force carpark.

The trip is just over 1 mile one way from the Aira Force car park direct and just over a mile and a half if you visit the falls.

The cache is near a slate seat marked on the OS 25k map as memorial seat. The best views can be had from the nearby cairn.
