Geocache Description:

This annual event is located in Sumner, Illinois and is being hosted by King of Halloween, Wolf Pack 359, STP10 & Knttrgrl, Mike Anderson 1492 & Whistlin in the dark and friends. We would like to welcome Geocachers from all over to Cache Slash Fest 2007. We will have prizes, giveaways, and a Murder Mystery Cache with a grand prize. Again this year we hope to have several donations from area businesses. We hope to have something for all attendees. There will be several permanent caches in the area that will be activated the day of the event and will be loggable. There will also be a night cache trip, just for a scare. So bring your flashlight.

Check out the Cache Slash Fest 2007 Podcast HERE. We have had a good turn out on DONATIONS for door prizes.
We will have a bonfire for roasting hotdogs which will be provided. Ice tea, coffee, hot chocolate and chips will also be provided. Bring a covered dish, drinks of your choice, and lawnchairs. Bring your kids too because we will have ours and there will be stuff for them to do.
The start time of this event is 1 pm and we plan to eat around 4 pm with prize drawings, sight seeing and enjoying each others company until late into the night. I think we wrapped last years up around 11 pm. Come and meet with fellow cachers and check out why the stretch of road between Wolf Pack 359 and The King of Halloween's house is by far the scarest in the county and possibly all of Southern Illinois.

Decorations provided by King of Halloween, Wolf Creek Cemetery & Ravenwood Hollow.

The T-Shirts will be available again this year and the design is below. If you are not familiar with the design it is a variation on a design by Edward Gorey's The Gashlycrumb Tinies. He was the artist in the opening credits for the PBS show MYSTERY. I thought it would be fitting with the theme of the event.

Sorry for the delay on T-shirt info. The gentleman we have had make them the last 2 years has had some health issues. Thanks for being patient.
Short sleeve T-shirt (youth to XL) $12
Long sleeve T-shirt (youth to XL ) $16
Sweatshirt (youth to XL) $17
Hoody sweatshirt (youth to XL) $22
For 2XL add $1.50 to prices above and for 3XL add $2.50.

We would like to have all shirt orders in by Oct. 6th. This is the deadline no other orders will be taken after this date. Sorry no exceptions.

Payment can be made via PayPal Credit Card or PayPal Non Credit Card. PAYPAL Credit Card purchases require addition fees. If you would like to make other arrangements and email T-shirt orders click HERE.

Please post if you plan to come and what you plan to bring as a covered dish. We would like to know if you plan to attend as soon as you know so that we can have a head count to help with planning. Last year we had alittle over 100 attendees and would like to beat that. We also had attendees from several states and are always thrilled to add more states to the list.
