What: A short class on GPS use and the mechanics of
geocaching, followed by a practice session where several temporary
caches will be available for your searching pleasure. We will match
up experienced geocachers with new people to provide hands on
assistance.
Where: Kohler-Andrae State Park, Sheboygan, WI at the
enclosed shleter in the campground. (or see Coordinates above)
When: September 29, 2007 3:00PM to 6:00PM
Who: Everyone! New people get a chance to "learn the
ropes" from those with more experience. Experienced people get to
meet some new geocachers and give a little back to the game. If you
are in between, well, you can do a little of both.
Why: Why not?
Parking:The co-ordinates above are for the parking area that
should be used (Middle Picnic Lot), which is just south of the
Bath/Concession stand. The presentation will be in the enclosed
shelter, just west of the parking lot.
Snacks & Stories:If you want to stick around after the
presentation and cache-hunting, we will start a fire in the
fireplace. Bring some refreshments and snacks to share if you
want.
