next go into the sparta public golf course and ask if you can go across to the child center cemetrey this is so you dont get hit by a golf ball or get in the way of someone on the golf course. follow the path to the cemetery.
the path is paved most of the way and grass the last few feet
The cache is about the size of my fist and it is not anywhere near any of the head stones.
For many years, the State of Wisconsin operated a home for children in Sparta, Wisconsin. It was known locally as the Child Center. Many children from throughout Wisconsin lived there because they were removed from their homes or because they were orphans. The Home closed about 30 years ago (1976) and all the records were transferred to the State Historical Society in Madison.
You will find 300 head stones here none of them with a name just a number. there is a main stone with the names of the childeren and the number that is on the stone where they are buried.
