A lot of varied terrain on this hike. Start out with the old growth trees laying towards the river on you right and onto the prairie sections with the replanted prairie grasses which have different beauty at during different seasons. This part can be very hot on a sunny summer day so you may want to be sure to bring water. Then you will come by some hardwood sections and more prairie. Look for the typical animals and watch out for the Trail Cookies (horse poop) and the elusive Corn Snake. (The park released some Corn Snakes here a few years ago and they lost track of them but they believe there are still some around. They are harmless and very hard to see.)
Feel free to post pictures.
NOTE: Crow Hassan Park closed November 9 - 11 2007 (Fri. - Sat. - Sun.) for a special deer hunt.
