Geocache Description:

This is the oldest active Belgian multi-cache.

Attention all cachers : important note at bottom, see ps
What about a bit of exercise of muscles and brain and a cache hunt at the same time ?
Do not hesitate, bring your walking shoes or bike and search my cache.
Firstly you will need to complete the missing co-ordinates ‘RST’ and ‘UWXYR’ in the KEY while going to the various Waypoints, and answering the Questions.
The KEY = N 50° 55.RST' and E 4° UW.XYR'
So, do not forget to bring a pen with you, and some spare batteries might be useful as well.
Last part might be muddy when it has rained.
Total distance = approximately 8 km.

Where to START :
The starting co-ordinates are N 50° 55.998' and E 4° 13.016'.
They will lead you to the railway station.
Park your car, (or descend the train), look around and answer the 1st QUESTION.
Q1 : what is the number of the platform, someone needs to go and wait for trains heading to Brussels ?
Substitute the answer as ‘Y’ in the KEY.

WAYPOINT 1’s co-ordinates are N 50° 55.988' and E 4° 14.461'
Go to Waypoint 1 and answer the 2nd QUESTION.
Q2 : How many km. to St.Gillis, according to this monument ?
Substitute the answer as ‘UW’ in the KEY.

WAYPOINT 2’s co-ordinates are N 50° 56.610' and E 4° 13.616'
Go to Waypoint 2 and answer the 3rd QUESTION.
Q3 : You can spot a date on the wall of the remains of a mill.
Add the two right digits and substitute the answer as ‘R’ in the KEY.
Subtract the two right digits and substitute the answer as ‘X’ in the KEY.

WAYPOINT 3’s co-ordinates are N 50° 55.851' and E 4° 13.641' Go to Waypoint 3 and answer the 4th QUESTION.
Q4 : D.De Groote died during The Great War, a certain day in October 1914.
Substitute the day as ‘ST’ in the KEY.

Now the KEY with the co-ordinates to find my cache is completed.
Continue your way to this key and search the cache.
Please make it invisible again. Thank you.

Enjoy the hunt and good luck.

ps:the original cache has been muggled, June 2006. Since the muggler might return, the box is now at KEY N-240 and KEY E-013. ( - meaning minus). However, the quest remains the same.

Walkers :there is an 11km signposted walk, starting at co-ordinates N 50° 55.854' and E 4° 13.618'
