A Flash Mob Gathering of Geocachers
Only 15 minutes long! You MUST be present and sign the log sheet DURING this time to claim the event.
Please BYOP! (Bring your own pen)

This event is part of the WWFM - World Wide Flash Mob coordinated events

Our first Flash Mob was in May, 2007 held at Balboa Park and it was a great success with almost 200 geocachers attending.
This time we'll gather at Belmont Park in Mission Beach, near the historic Giant Dipper Roller Coaster and Plunge.
We're also going to try a unique twist - a moving flash mob!

The event will begin precisely at 9:00am on Saturday, Nov 10th.
An Orange Bucket full of Nice Swag placed on ground zero will signal the start of the event!!!
The first coordinates will lead you to the FIRST waypoint, near the "Green Flash" archway at Mission Beach
The event will be facilitated by volunteers. If you'd like to be a WWFM volunteer, please contact us (podcacher@gmail.com) and let us know.

Prior to the start time, mosey and wander about non-challantly ... Then when the bucket is set down ... converge on the First Waypoint!

First Waypoint: N 32° 46.309 W 117° 15.168
Receive log sheet and micro name tag (bring your own pen!!)
Trade swag from the bucket if you want
Chat and mingle
CITO the area

At the designated time move to the next waypoint.

Pose for group photo
Receive event "meal" (Hershey Kisses)
Turn in log sheets
CITO the area

At the designated time move to the next waypoint.

Raffle prizes awarded (drawn from log sheets)

At precisely 9:15, disperse! Leave the area without a trace!!!



The After-Event Waypoint ...

Fourth Waypoint (Additional Group Photo): N 32° 46.286 W 117° 15.008
AFTER the event is over, we'd like to take a quick photo with the Roller Coaster in the background.
Please re-convene at the Fourth Waypoint at 9:30.
You can also use this opportunity to make plans with other geocachers for brunch or caching in the neighborhood.


If any muggles are curious about the event we will have a volunteer hand out fliers that explain geocaching.

We hope to gather a "good showing" of cachers at this event. Tell your friends and help promote the event.

Suggestion: COME EARLY TO FIND PARKING. If you can't find parking you might miss the event!
If you use the farther parking coordinates, please allow 5-10 minutes to walk to the First Waypoint.
