Geocache Description:

The coordinates are not for the cache but for North Holmwood Cricket Ground, where I first batted with my good friend Andy Keay during his first game for our club. He made a hundred (I got 40). He was tragically killed in a motorbike accident two years later and is still sadly missed.

Now the 2007 season has drawn to a close I thought I would combine my two main interests by setting a series of caches at cricket grounds in Surrey. Cricket grounds are often very picturesque places.

This one is fairly easy; however, small but very useful pieces of information appear on the cache pages of each of the other 3 in this series:

Cricket Clubs in Surrey #1

Cricket Clubs in Surrey #2

Cricket Clubs in Surrey #3

Each ground, including the present one, has some personal significance for me.

This ground was the site of two out of three consecutive glorious weekends in a particular year. The third weekend involved one of the other grounds in this series. The year concerned is Y years either before or after 2000. The month was numbered Z (as in a standard date). If you can identify the grounds, and thereby the events that made the weekends so glorious, then a 9-digit number should be obvious. Let the 9-digit number be PQRSTUVWX.

The cache is at :

N 51 1(Y-1).(Q+R)(Z-V-1)T

W 000 WP.SXU

Happy hunting!
