We recently picked up a Geoscouting coin and thought that we would show it to the Scout Troop that Chris used to lead before sending it on its way. We thought that it would be a good way of introducing them to Geocaching.

Lotty's Scouting Geocoin
We decided that when Chris visited the Troop he would set up a cache with the Scouts and ask them to name it.
3rd Devizes (St Joseph's) Scout Group began on a dark, cold night in February 1943 when the local Parish Priest wanted to do something for the young people of the parish. Since then the Cub Pack has run continuously and there have been three separate periods when the Scout Troop has flourished.
The cache is in a private road, so please park before going to find it. There are several well-signposted pay car parks in the town, the largest and nearest being at the coordinates below, but this does involve an uphill walk to the cache. There is also free on-street parking available throughout the town, some very close to the road where the cache is. Check the roadside parking signs for the times of free parking as these vary across the town. Please do not park longer than the local limit. The parking attendants are hot stuff!
For those who use sat-nav to get to caches,
please note that this cache is not accessible from the level of the large public carpark.
You do need to return to the main road - the A361 - first.
