Located on Foster Island. Must walk or bike about 1/2 mile or come by canoe. Trail is hard packed earth.
Foster Island is a nice park on the shore of Lake Washington. There are wonderful views of the Montlake Cut, Husky Stadium, and the Cascade Mountains.
You will need to park your vehicle and walk or bike about 1/2 mile. There are two places you can park: N 47 38.488 W 122 17.568 and N 47 38.735 W 122 17.991. Wheelchairs might be usable from the eastern most parking lot (the trail is hard packed earth), bikes are fine too. Coming from the west you will need to be on foot. You can also come by canoe -- in that case, you'll find a place to land.
This is my first cache and I made it fairly easy to find. Be aware, though, that even though you must walk a while to get here it is a pretty popular place with lots of muggles.
