Three Toy Boys Get Married

********************************

Simon, Marcus and Alastair were friends. They had a surprising number of things in common. For example, they each had girlfiends who were quite a bit older than them.

Alastair's partner was Helena who was X years his senior; Marcus's partner was Mary Elizabeth, who was Y years his senior; and Simon's partner was Annie, who was Z years his senior. The three girlfriends also had some things in common: for example, their jobs were (broadly) in the same field/industry.

The three couples all decided to get married on the same day: Christmas Eve 2007. It was to be a themed triple wedding: all the guests had to come as particular people.

One guest came as celeb (let's give the person being impersonated the fake initials AB) who was born in Surrey and celebrated in a pop song by a solo artist who was formerly in a three-piece band. The 3 couples liked the way this guest wasn't afraid to make a prat of himself.

Another guest impersonated someone whom we will give the fake initials, CD. Among a number of claims to fame, CD disguised him- (or her-) self and hung out in pubs to obtain evidence against counterfeiters. Did this celeb really fit the theme though?

A third guest impersonated a real star (fake initials EF). EF was friends with another celebrity (who lived at the dummy coords given above, approximately).

Yet another guest arrrived as someone in TV (fake initials GH), but the couples all agreed that this person was a bit of a muppet.

The whole do was compered by a celebrity host who, even though he was almost an octogenarian, proved to be a knockout with all the guests. (Let's give the host the fake initials IJ.)

Amusingly, one guest misunderstood the wedding theme instructions slightly and came looking like a tramp (fake initials KL); his presence would have been more appropriate at a funeral.

You need to identify everyone. Then take the true initials (that are represented by the fakes). Next convert the true initials into their alphabetic number equivalents (using A=1, B=2 etc) and this will yield number values that can be substituted for the corresponding letters of the fake initials. So, imagine the fake initials AB represented Margaret Thatcher. Then A would be 13 and B would be 20, as M is the 13th letter in the alphabet and T is the 20th letter in the alphabet.

Merry Xmas to all geocachers everywhere!
