Nice pleasant stroll, historical bridge, about a hour each way.
This is a fairly easy Geocache, the walk is quite pleasant (about an hour each way), with only gentle slopes to climb. Until the final couple of hundred meters we followed tracks and only then went cross country. So it should be ideal for geokiddies and even geograndfathers with recent pacemaker surgery. The last little bit (couple of hundred meters) may be a bit more difficult for the young but unless they are in strollers it shouldn’t be a problem. I’m sure that there are other ways to this cache but the way we went was extremely pleasant. Firstly we parked near the youth camp at Bickley Brook reservoir – then we walked the closed road until we reached the historical bridge 32° 01.926'S 116° 03.145'E From there we left the road and took off up the track which we followed until we reached 32° 01.856'S 116° 03.4555'E. At this point we turned left and walked down another track and across the stream 32° 01.789'S 116° 03.408'E then we headed into the clearing and followed it upwardly westerly (confused?). There is a kind of animal track going through this way. We then went a bit cross country but this is the end bit. We were lucky enough to see kangaroos in this area. Now you actually cross another (vehicle) track to get to the geocache, we have no idea where this leads to, or even starts from so if you find out we would love to know. The views are great from this location, and it is a lovely walk – especially at this time of year when you can hear the water running
