tazmasized: Things are getting busy in preparation for moving to Kentucky so it is time to archive this cache. This was the fourth cache I placed out of what was sixteen two months ago. At the time it was placed, the next nearest cache on 234 was over 10 miles to the south in Montclair (and there were none between here and I66). And the closest cache was in Manassas Park. It was the first to fill a void that no longer exists. The original container was a blank electrical box cover and that was replaced with a standard micro container after 11 months (December 2008). Many thanks to all who sought this cache and to those cachers who have helped me enjoy geocaching here in Northern Virginia.

Geocache Description:

Standard micro capsule - bring your own pen or pencil cache.

This cache will likely be archived on approximately October 1st, 2009.

To make the most of this cache, try to arrive about a half hour before sunset. The bridge is nice place to view the dam and its background near sunset. Due to a high chain link fence, point and shoot cameras will have better results than SLRs.

DO NOT park or stop along 234 for this cache. This stretch of the road is heavily patroled. Stopping along the road is both extremely unsafe and could result in a ticket.

Parking is at N 38 42.231 W 77 26.736

The paved trail along 234 here is very wide so be careful not to drive past the obvious turn-a-round that is the provided parking location.

One does not have to lean, stand or place any portion of themselves in or over the road to reach the cache. The placer of this cache assumes no responsibility for risks taken to retrieve the cache.
