A three-part cache concerning the transportation in the city of Houston. Each of the three locations shows a different form of transportation that fits with the theme of this cache.
Transportation has always been a top priority for Houstonians. This fact can be seen in none other than our city's seal - a train being pictured in the center. One of the biggest metropolitans in the United States, Houston is not only known for its transportation requirements, but for its vast limits. It could take an hour and a half to drive from one side of the city to the other.
In a world of such natural beauty, many would argue that transportation makes our world an ugly place. However, it is the key facet that drives our every day life.
This multi-cache showcases Houston's ability to transport its citizens, and to accommodate for its citizens' transportation needs. When finding these caches, see if you can recognize the three distinct different kinds of transportation seen at each location. You can refer to these forms of transportation in your log on this cache page.
This multi-cache begins at the parking lot near the MetroRail station - Fannin South. You CAN accomplish this multi-cache using your own car, but the proximity to public transportation in the form of MetroRail provides an easier choice.
There are two costs involved if you choose to use the MetroRail:
-$2.50...One day parking fee at S. Fannin parking lot near cache coordinates
-$2.00...Day pass for MetroRail
but this cache does not endorse using the MetroRail. It only showcases it as a part of this multi-cache.
