Geocache Description:

An easy hike by the river in a large urban park in California's Central Valley.

We began this 4 mile round trip from a parking lot N36 51.392 W119 47.153. Terrain fluctuates from urban to rural.

Tennis shoes or hiking boots will get you there and back comfortably.

This is our first cache so we located it an easily accesible site, but don't assume you're going to walk right up to it.

Reference the last words spoken in the original movie "The Thing" made in the 1950s.

We used an olive drab, high-impact plastic ammo box for the container. Probably should have sealed it with silicone. Next time for sure.

Inside you'll find :
a single USE camera;
2 pencils;
an Irish Army Knife(you'll see what we mean);
plastic rain poncho;
fishing kit;
1st aid kit
sewing kit>pencil sharpener
rubber snake
art work
Fresno State Basketball schedule 2001-2002
show glass
2 snap lights
1000 Lire note
noise maker
golf ball
keychain flashlight
photo of Australian m ail-order bride
Krispy Kreme hat
Great Race ribbon

We didn't put things in zip-lock plastic bags(we're rookies), but will next time. Let us know if the container stayed water tight.
