Team Geofrog: I am archiving my cache Hawk Cliff on 4/14/16, 7:57 AM. I found the small container GoodSamNurse found, with her log in it. It was one foot away from the actual regular sized cache. I could almost touch both with the same hand. But that is not why I'm archiving it. It's had a good run. It's been here for almost six years, and the permit is only good for two. It's time to open up the area for a new cache. If someone wants to hide something, go for it. I haven't planned anything else for up here at this point in time. I removed both containers.

Geocache Description:

You are looking for a clear lock-n-lock container in the woods. The New York State Official geocache permit number is RL08-03.

Welcome to the lesser traveled parts of Nyack! There are several ways to get here. The easiest is to park at Nyack State Beach upper lot if it is open (there is a parking fee during parts of the year). Also, you can park in the lower lot and follow the switch-back trails to the location (also a fee during season). If you have a stroller, walk up to the circle, then take the driveway to the upper lot. If you do not want to pay for parking during the peak season, you can walk a real long way from a street in Upper Nyack, but I would consider this a day hike! While the parking seems like an issue, it usually isn't. You may want to bring a picnic and definitely a camera as the views are beautiful! Congrats to Walkin' Ed on FTF!
