On Tuesday the 8th of April
2008 the cruise liner Balmoral, from the Fred Olsen Cruise Line fleet, will be
visiting Belize. This event cache is for Geocaching
passengers aboard this ship, passengers on any other
ships in port and local cachers! There will be a warm
welcome for ALL cachers and a chance to compare caching and
cruising stories.
The event will be held at the Nu Fenders bar
between 2 pm and 3 pm in the
afternoon!
Nu Fenders bar is located at the intersection of Queen and
Handyside Streets. It is a very popular bar with locals and
tourists alike. Because of Geocaching.com's commercial guidelines,
I'm not allowed to comment on the bar in detail, but there are
plenty of tourist guides (see links below) that confirm it is safe,
popular and welcomes tourists. We will be able to sit back and
relax after a long day of sightseeing (and a short days
caching!)
In the unlikely event that Nu Fenders is closed, there is
another bar, Planet Hollywood (not part of the chain) opposite.
