4 Ruins, 3 Lakes, 2 Rocks and 1 Chapel
Cette cache vous fait passer par 4 ruines dans les Vosges du
nord : Waldeck, Rothenbourg, Falkenstein et Helfenstein.
Longueur : 16 km ou 5 heures.

Attention : ne vous laissez pas dissuader par
ce
panneau ; Vous pouvez
continuer jusqu'à ces
panneaux ; l'entrée et la
grimpette des ruines sont actuellement autorisés.
Depuis le parking vous suivez l'anneau rouge jusqu'au parking
Rothenbourg. Au départ on passe entre le terrain de tennis et
l'étang pour rejoindre ensuite le sentier pédagogique. On traverse
ce dernier pour se retrouver rapidement à la sortie de la forêt. La
Station 1 n'est plus loin. Après le Station 1 on traverse le hameau
de Waldeck pour se retrouver à la Station 2.
En partant sur la gauche on peut faire un petit détour à la ruine
du Waldeck (ne vous laissez pas impressionner par le panneau
d'interdiction). On rejoint la station 2 et on repart par le chemin
qui passe entre la montagne. Tout de suite après on prend à droite
jusqu'à l'Erbsenfels par un large chemin forestier. On contourne le
rocher et on continue par l'anneau rouge jusqu'au WP Street/Sign
Chapel. Depuis la route on suit le vieux panneau rouillé jusqu'à la
chapelle. A partir de la Station 3 on passe par le WP Etang du
Erbsenweiher par un sentier qui monte en pente douce jusqu'à la
Station 4. Après cela on retourne au point d'orientation. A présent
on reprend l'anneau rouge jusqu'au parking Rothenbourg.
Depuis la route au niveau du gros hêtre on grimpe par le sentier en
pente raide pour retrouver à la Station 5. On peut éviter cette
montée trop raide en prenant par la gauche le chemin forestier
après les premiers lacets. Ce chemin vous amène d'abord au WP Blue
Point et à partir de là vous pouvez également rejoindre la Station
5.
Depuis la Station 5 on retourne au WP Blue Point. A partir de là on
suit le disque bleu jusqu'au WP triangle. A partir de là on prend à
droite pour rejoindre le parking du Falckenstein et puis la Station
6. Le final n'est plus très loin.
Depuis le Falkenstein on prend la croix bleue jusqu'à l'étang de
Liesbach, on passe par la cache Bonus (cf. le WP), puis le col de
Kachler et retour à l'étang de Hanau.
Attention: Don´t be afraid of this
sign near the ruins of Windeck
and Falkenstein. You can go to the ruins until you see this
sign . It´s forbitten to climb
up to the ruins!

This Cache contains 4 ruins in the Vosges du Nord. Their names
are Windeck, Rothenbourg, Falkenstein and Helfenstein.
Length: 16km or 5 hours
There is a
Camping place, a restaurant and a
hotel at Etang de Hanau.
You can use the
map and our description.
Follow the red ring until Parking Rothenbourg. From the parking
place walk between the tennis place and the Etang de Hanau. A few
minutes later you will leave the forest. After Station 1 you will
hike through the Weiler Windeck to Station 2.
At Station 2 you can take the trail up to the ruin of Windeck.
After visiting the ruin you have to go back to Station 2. From here
walk a few meters between the rocks and take the right way.
The Red Ring will guide you around the Rocher de L´ Erbsenberg to
WP Street/Sign Chapel, Etang Erbsenweiher and Chapel n. D. des
Brois.
From the chapel go to waypoint Etang du Erbsenweiher. Take here
first the trail up to Station 4. Then go back to waypoint Etang du
Erbsenweiher and hike to Parking Rothenburg. At Parking Rothenbourg
take the blue point up to Station 5. You can hike straight up the
trail to Station 5 or you can take the trail until you meet a
bigger way. Take this way to WP Blue Point and hike then to Station
5.
From Station 5 hike to WP Blue Point (back). Follow the Blue Point
to WP Blue Triangle. Take the right way to Station 6 and to the
Final.
After the Final follow the sign blue Cross to the Bonus Cache at
Etang de Lieschbach and Col Kachler.
Achtung: Laßt euch von diesen
Schild nicht abschrecken. Ihr
dürft weiter gehen bis ihr diese
Schilder sieht. Das
Betreten/Erklettern der Ruinen ist momentan nicht
gestattet!
Am Parkplatz nehmen wir den Roten Ring bis Parking Rothenbourg.
Dieser verläuft zwischen Tennis Platz und dem Weiher und trifft
dann auf einen Naturlehrpfad. Diesen durchqueren wir und stehen
schnell am Waldrand. Station 1 ist nun nicht mehr weit.
Nach Station 1 laufen wir durch den Weiler Waldeck zur Station 2.
Links können wir nun einen kurzen Abstecher zur Ruine Waldeck
einlegen(keine Angst vor dem Verbotsschild!). Danach laufen wir
zurück zur Station 2 und durchqueren den Berg. Gleich danach biegen
wir Rechts ab. Ein breiter, sandiger, nur leicht ansteigender
Forstweg bringt uns zum Erbsenfels. Diesen umrunden wir und folgen
weiter dem Roten Ring zum WP Street/Sign Chapel.
An der Straße folgen wir dem alten, rostigen Hinweisschild zur
Kapelle. Von Station 3 laufen wir über den WP Etang du Erbsenweiher
über den dort verlaufenden, leicht ansteigenden Pfad zur Station 4.
Danach kehren wir an den Orientierungspunkt zurück. Nun nehmen wir
weiter den Roten Ring bis zum Parking Rothenburg.
An der Straße und der großen Buche müssen wir steil den Berg zur
Station 5 über den Pfad erklimmen. Wer weniger Höhenmeter auf
einmal zurück legen will, nimmt den Pfad und biegt dann nach 3-4
Serpentinen auf einen Wirtschaftsweg links ab. Dieser bringt uns
dann zuerst an den WP Blue Point. Von hier kann man auch zur
Station 5 aufsteigen.
Von Station 5 laufen wir (zurück) zum WP Blue Point. Hier folgen
wir den blauen Punkt bis zum WP Blue Triangle. Hier biegen rechts
ab und treffen dann auf den Parkplatz Falkenstein und dann auf
Station 6. Von hier ist es nicht mehr weit zum Final. An der
Falkenstein nehmen wir das Blue Cross(siehe WP) zum Bonus, Etang de
Lieschbach, Col de Kachler und zum Hanauer Weiher zurück.
