Geocache Description:

Geocaching Introductory Demonstration at Southeastern Michigan Computer Organization meeting

On September 9th starting at 1:45PM, I will be giving a presentation on Geocaching to the members of SEMCO (Southeastern Michigan Computer Organization). The meeting will take place at the Oakland University Science Building in Room 172. I will be discussing the principles of the GPS system and demonstrating how to use a GPS Receiver. I will discuss how to find your first cache and how to join in the Geocaching fun. I will have a few sample cache boxes to show off but only have 2 GPS Receivers for people to see.
The meeting will last about 1 to 1-1/2 hours, followed by refreshments.
Join us at this meeting and show off you GPS Receivers and hopefully meet some other fellow Geocachers.
The co-ordinates are for the front door of the Science Building.
If there is enough interest, after the meeting we could even visit 1 or 2 caches that are within walking distance of the meeting place.
