Geocache Description:

Requires a hike of about .3 miles, but a bridge is out that way, requiring a higher terrain rating, then about 30 yards of bushwacking.

Please visit this cache, located in a very historic and scenic location, but one which is probably underappreciated by most locals. Listed coordinates are for the actual cache. You will want to park your car at N35 38.465 W89 50.205 if you want the short hike, with a more difficult terrain, and start hiking. There is another approved way in, requiring a much longer walk, so the terrain would be about the same, although there is no bridge out that way. It is on a trail for the ranger's vehicles, but hiking is permitted. Please go to the Park Office and register before going this route. I will post the coordinates at a later time for parking here.

Cache is in olive drab ammo can nestled in hole formed by roots of tree. Covered by bark and leaves. When originally placed, it contained 22 items, none of them very valuable. Also included in the log book, is a short history of the site where placed.
