This cache is set along one of several waymarked forest walks that are accessed from the Glen Doll car park (parking fee £2.00 per day)
The circular South Esk walk is approx 2miles/3km long and is marked by yellow bands on the marker posts. For the best views, we recommend you do the walk clockwise, starting with this cache. The riverside path is accessed from the far end of the picnic area. Apart from the first section the whole walk should be easily buggy-able with the caches within view of the path.
This part of the path closely follows the river at the edge of the forest. The River South Esk is a Special Area of Conservation, being home to Scotland's largest population of freshwater mussels.
