A interesting corner of Afton State Park.
This cashe was place by the boys of Boy Scout Troop 82 from Rochester, MN on a campout on October 20th, 2007. It is in a green ammo box. Take your time walking to the site and enjoy the mix of woods and open prairie. As this location is in a State Park, we chose the location and the park range placed the cashe.
NOTICE: The cashe is some distance off the designated hiking trails. If you study the park map, you can find an easy route to the cashe across a relatively flat restored prairie. Ignoring the map will send you up the dangerously steep cliff overlooking the river. The hint below includes a waypoint to a location on the park trails that will make the safe route obvious.
