Cache 9 From Outer Space Mystery Cache
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
At a recent garage sale, I picked up a box of old Cold War era military books and Army manuals. I found the document posted below while going through the books to see what I actually bought. Not sure what it all means though, so I thought I'd let you folks have a look. I went to the coordinates with a radio, and I thought I heard something, but could not make heads or tails of it. Click on the document for a larger view.
When I was in the area investigating the signals, I found that using an MP3 player with an FM receiver worked best. It allowed me to change frequencies by 0.1 MHz (vice most radios that only allow 0.2 MHZ adjustments) and also allowed me to move around to get better reception.
This cache is my implementation of an idea from photorudeboy. He has graciously allowed me to take the idea and run with it. All credit for the concept goes to him. My deep thanks to him for letting me use the concept.
