Located in the public space in the castle. Accessible by wheelchair with a little assistance. Situé dans l'espace public dans le château. Accessible en fauteuil roulant avec un peu d'assistance. Remember to replace very carefully. N'oubliez pas de remplacer de très près.
The castle
At the top of the rocky promontory on which the town is built stands the 13th-century castle, flanked by a meander of the river on the north and west sides. A deep moat carved into the granite isolates it on the other sides. The wall, set with huge round towers, overlooks the St. James District. Ramparts designed to be topped with cannons gave added strength to the walls at the end of the Middle Ages
Le château.
A l’extrémité du promontoire rocheux qui porte la ville s’élève le château du XIIIe siècle. La boucle de la rivière l’enserre au nord et à l’ouest ; des fossés profonds taillés dans le granit l’isolent sur les autres côtés. La muraille flanquée de grosses tours rondes domine le quartier Saint-Jacques. Des remparts destinés à porter des canons la renforcent à la fin du Moyen-Age.
