Wyam Falls - Oregon History lesson # 7
How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
Just a nice little break in the drive from Portland to the Eastern side of the State.
Another Beaver Board to read about the local history.
This cache was supposed to go along side The Dalles Dam in the park, but at the time of this cache creation and posting, All the Dams are in a lock down mode after the 09-11-01 Terrorist attack on the USA.
This location marks what used to be a large waterfall/rapids - Celilo Falls - that the indigenous peoples fished from and around. Upon the building of The Dalles dam and creating Lake Celilo, these falls where inundated.

This cache is not hard to find.
In fact it is supposed to be real easy to find. The cache is a small camo taped container.
Please bring small items as it will be a tight fit with too
much in it.
As this place can be crowded with people at all times
of the year, please be careful in locating and replacing the cache.
I have been told my other caches are to hard to get to and to hard to locate once there so I am going to put out a few simple caches to bring the average down. But, I promise to still put some out that will keep/get people complaining some more.
HINT is tweaked as of 04-30-07
