Entre 1470 et 1480, le roi Louis XI séjourna ici 19 fois, passant, en dix ans, prés de 4 mois à Selommes pour y travailler, appréciant la compagnie du seigneur du lieu.
Dans les ruines de ce château du XV éme siècle subsiste, en plus du mur de façade et de la tour sud, 2 salles basses ouvertes au public les week-end et jours fériés. Elles ont été aménagées par la commune.
C’est aussi un gite d’étape pour le tourisme équestre.

English :
Between 1470 and 1480, King Louis XI stayed here 19 times, passing within ten years, nearly 4 months Selommes to work, enjoying the company of the lord of the place.
In the ruins of this castle XV th century remains, in addition to the facade and the south tower, 2 basses rooms open to the public on weekends and holidays. They were furnished by the municipality.
It is also a cottage stage for equestrian tourism.
