Pinkmead can only be accessed from the Newport-Cowes cycle track. There is free parking at both ends of the cycle track, and a few places where you can join it along the route. The majority of the route is flat and metalled: ideal for a cycle jaunt, although you'll need to leave the bikes behind for the short last bit which is more difficult going. From the north, the number 1 bus stops by Cowes Medical Centre. From the south, all buses stop at Newport.
This estuary-side cache can be a bit muddy once off the track, and there will be some brambles and thistles. In summer and at normal tides most people will have no problem reaching this cache. After very wet weather and at very high tides there will be some difficulty reaching this cache so beware. It is also likely to be harder to reach in winter. But more rewarding, obviously!

Check our website for a picture of the cache container and a list of all ten of our caches. Can you find them all?
Please be sure to reseal this one carefully, it's wet down there!
Note: this cache is *not* in the grounds of the house called Pinkmead - that's private so don't go in there. Pinkmead is the name of the area as well as the house.
