If you are going to use the car park or any others using Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), do so with care and maybe take the following precautions: - Read the information before deciding whether or not to stay, and look beyond the cost which may appear good value - Be advised that your time in the car park starts from when your number plate is captured on entry, and ends when it is captured on exit - this may take longer than you think!! Allow ample time for finding a spot, delays at the payment machine, queuing to leave, etc. the first 10 minutes is free. If you're concerned that you may be unfairly caught out - take a quick photo of the payment screen showing your confirmed payment and any other details - Make a note of the web address and email contact details, and if you have access to the internet, go online ASAP (and definitely within 48 hours) to check that you don't owe anything. Frustrating as it is, it's easier to pay an extra £2 than have to fork out £25 or £50!!
