Go West, Young Man! Multi-cache
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
This is a two-stage hide in a little-used King County park. In the spirit of John B. L. Soule's famous quote, "Go West, young man, and grow up with the country," you may feel like a bit of an explorer in this park as the "trail' is not maintained and during the spring and summer is very overgrown. During the winter the trail is very muddy.
NOTE: The sign on which the tag providing the information for the final may have been removed. Until I get out there to confirm, the tag should have said "T338D 2210F".
The first-stage WP is at eye level and reads "TxxxD yyyyF." This means that you should project a waypoint from True north xxx Degrees yyyy Feet.
The final hide is not intended to be a needle-in-the-haystack search. You will find the ammo can hidden in a large, 6 foot-tall old stump with a 10" diameter Cedar growing on top. The stump is right next to the trail.
The cache has been moved a short distance from the original hiding spot because the log under which it was hidden collapsed, burying the cache. The hide is now a bit easier and no longer requires any bushwacking.
Congratulations to dsvaughn for FTF.
