Geocache Description:

A World Wide Flash Mob Event in Newport!

The Fourth Bi-annual World Wide Flash Mob!!!

The Basic Idea:

A "Flash Mob" Gathering of Geocachers. Only 15 minutes long! You MUST be present and sign a log sheet DURING this time to claim the event. Please BYOP! (Bring your own pen)

The World Wide Flash Mob Event: Dozens of events all around the world, coordinated to happen at the same time to bring together geocachers and introduce others to the geocaching.

This event: The event will last EXACTLY 15 minutes, not one second longer.

The event will begin precisely at 1:00pm EDT on November 8, 2008, at beautiful Queen Anne Square, downtown Newport, RI.

The Plan:
At precisely 1:00pm, the conga music will start playing. Participants will join the conga line as it meanders around the Square. The line will pass a designated "log sheet distributor" and a "snack distributor". Each person will grab a log sheet, and "sign in". The line will then pass a log sheet repository, where you will place your signed log sheet.

After some conga-ing, there will time to mingle and chat until the ending bell.

At precisely 1:15 the music will stop, and the bucket & log sheets will be packed up and sealed away. The event area will be vacated without a trace!!!

If you are not there by 1:15pm precisely, you did not attend the event. Only those participants whose names appear on the log sheets may log the event.

After the event, feel free to do some caching in the area, and then join us as we wish "bon voyage" to Auntie Weasel at Buskers.

There may be minor changes between now and the event, so be sure "Watch" the event to stay up to date!

Afterwards, stick around and do some caching on the Island, and then join up with the crowd to hopefully say farewell to Auntie Weasel at the Weasel Roast.
