Geocache Description:

Stand on the shores and look at one of the most beautiful views to be found. Across the glass water lies the Isle of Avalon where Arthur's famous sword, Excalibur, was forged.

It is also the Isle where Arthur was taken by his step-sister, Morgana with whom he'd settled his differences, along with three other enchantresses, to recuperate after fighting Mordred in the Battle of Camlann. Some say Arthur died on Avalon (which in Cornish means Isle of Apples), but the Welsh and Bretons strongly deny it.

Although primarily known in connection with King Arthur, Avalon is also the legendary location where Jesus visited the British Isles with Joseph of Arimathea and it was later the site of the first church in Britain, being considered the Holiest Ground in the kingdom.

Located at Pleasant Lake Park in Aniwa, beautiful view of the lake and a very nice park to visit. Cache is a pill bottle with camo tape, log book, pencil, and some small trade items. May be winter handicapped.
