This cache has been archived.

kayaking loon: We also hunted and hunted but couldn't find it so I guess it's gone. I'm going to archive it because I have way too many caches and want to put out some new and better ones.

Geocache Description:

Take Route 27 north, turn right onto Perkin Road. Park there, walk the short distance down Club Road.

Private property to the right when you get near the falls so don't go there. See the gate? But many fisherman and portage trails to the left. Even a parking space, but you didn't mind the walk, did you? Enjoy the falls, the forest, and the history. Benedict Arnold camped here on his march to Quebec during the Revolutionary War, 1775. And here is where he and his troops endured a November storm that they called a "hurricane". The river rose two feet above its banks and washed away many of their boats and supplies. Half the journey, cold, starvation and defeat awaited them.

The cache is a small Lock & Lock, with a FTF prize. GPS was a bit jumpy so use the hint if you need to.
