This geocache takes you on a 100-mile exploration around the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge Complex. There are 10 total locations to this geocache, they are listed below or a clue sheet can be found on the Sacramento NWR – Mystery Geocaching web site. Once you have completed seven of the 10 tasks; search for the cache near the public entrance to the visitor center, here you will find the key, sign the final log book and claim your cache.
The coordinates will get you within 20’-80’ of the location and all locations can be reached by trail. At the location you will be able to complete the task. Once you have completed seven of the 10 tasks, search for the cache near the public entrance to the Sacramento NWR Visitor Center. Here you will find the key, sign the final log book and claim your cache. If you have any questions, come into the visitor center, hours are 9 am to 4 pm Monday - Friday from March through October and seven days a week November through February. Remember – THERE ARE NO HIDDEN CACHES AT THESE LOCATIONS, PLACING GEOCACHES IN THESE AREAS IS PROHIBITED. Also, wildlife comes first on refuges, so please follow all rules and regulations. Note for numbers one through six, we recommend going during the daytime and not alone, due to mountain lions in the area. The Sacramento NWR Complex is open from dawn until dusk.
