Geocache Description:

Here is Tanpachiyama in Nagoya.

If you visit here, You'd be surprised to see a lot of stone monuments.
And if you can read Japanese, please read text written in those stone monuments.
So you will be sure to surprise more.
It is written in those stone monuments like this....
"Soldiers were sent to the Jinshin War from here in Asuka period."
"The Tomb of Taira no Masakado's Head"
"Birthplace of Toyotomi Hideyoshi"
"Birthplace of Urashima Taro"(Urashima Taro is the famous hero of the Japanese folk tale)
and so on...
If they are all true, here is a very important places in the history of Japan...
That may or may not be true, Tanpachiyama is known as a showplace of cherry blossoms in local.

もしあなたがここを訪れたら、多くの石碑を見て驚くでしょう。
そして、石碑に書かれている文章を読んでさらに驚くことになるでしょう。
これらの石碑には次のようなことが書かれています。
「飛鳥時代に壬申の乱平定のための兵がこの地から出された。」
「平将門の首塚」
「豊臣秀吉生誕の地」
「浦島太郎生誕の地」等々...
もしここに書かれていることがすべて真実ならば、この地は日本の歴史において非常に重要な場所なんですが...

石碑に書かれている内容の真偽はともかく、丹八山は地元では桜の名所として知られています。
