Urumea ibiaren zubitan jarritako serie bat da hau. EZ AHAZTU IDAZTEKOA! This is part of a series of caches placed in the bridges of Urumea river. DON'T FORGET YOUR PEN!
Antzina Urumea ibaiak Zurriola izena zuen. Nafarroan du iturburua. Batzuen arabera Leitzan 710 m-ko garaieran eta 53 km luze da, beste batzuen arabera Goizuetan du iturburua eta 46km -ko luzera du. Ibaiadar nagusienak Elama, Añarbe eta Landarbaso dira. Goizueta, Hernani, Astigarraga, Loiola eta Donostia zeharkatzen ditu. Urgull eta Ulia mendien artean, Gros auzoko hondar eremuak sortuz. Batezbesteko emaria 10 m²/s da.
EUSKARAZ
Gure generazioarentzat zubi berria den hau, ofizialki “Mundaizko zubia” izena du. Hau da Donostiako zubirik berriena, baino ez luzaroan. Berriki burdinazko zubia lekuz aldatuko eta hau kokatuta dagoen lekuan berri bat eraikiko baitute.
Zubia 1998ko urriaren 4ean hasi zuten eta hurrengo urteko maiatzean zabaltzea espero zuten arren, zubia urte bete beranduago ireki zuten. 2000ko maiatzak 13an, hain zuzen. Gainera 567 miloi euro behar izan zituzten lana bukatzeko, hau da, aurreikusitakoa baino 113 milioi euro gehiago.
Bertan marea errota bat bazen kokatuta. Errotaz gain sagardotegia ere ba omen zen. Errota-txiki zuen izena eta 1924an bota zuten ibaia kanalizatzeko. Orduan Gregorio Mendiburu zen nagusia eta errotaren harria museo batera eraman ordez kanalizazioaren paretan jartzea eskatu zuen. Errota-txiki bertan egon zela gogorarazteko.
Zubitik N43 18.661 W1 58.685 puntura begiratuta, ibaiaren paretan errotaren harria bat ikus daiteke. Gauez argi bat badu.

ENGLISH
This is the new bridge for our generation. Officially named Mundaiz. It won't be the newest bridge for too long as the iron bridge will be move to a different location and a new one will be built at that point.
The bridge started to be built on October 4th 1998 and it was expected to be inaugurated by May next year. However, it took one year longer and it was finally inaugurated on May 13th 2000. In addition 113 million Euro more than expected (567 million Euro) were needed.
There existed a tide-mill where the bridge is located now. Errota-Txiki ("small mill" in Basque) existed until 1924 when the river was canalized. It was also a cider house. The last owner, Gregorio Mendiburu, wanted the mill-stone to be where the mill was, instead of in a museum. Therefore it can be seen nowadays on the wall of the river. You must go to the middle of the bridge and look at point N43 18.661 W1 58.685.
