THIS CACHE IS OVER 10 YEARS OLD!!!
An easy backroads drive to a very pretty location. The river junction where a smaller spawning stream meets the South Englishman River before it all spills into Englishman River north. At cache placement time (November), stand beside the smaller stream and watch the chum salmon right at your feet. The easiest access to this area is via the Island Timberlands gate at their NW Bay division. No charge but usually open to the public on weekends only. The alternative is to 'just get there' like the intrepid leader of the Outdoor Quad Squad who made the well earned FTF.
There is more than one way in but I suggest turning off the mainroad at 49°15.170 x 124°17.572 for a nice drive to the cache site.
The cache is a lock and lock in a black plastic bag. It is in what is left of a hollowed out stump. The stump has a leaner on it and both are charred and mossy. There is no need to disturb the surrounding area.
