This cache is located in Pewterspear Wood, a small wood, managed by the Woodland Trust, and located in Appleton, Warrington.
If you walk to the end of the wood, you arrive at Old Pewterspear Lane - which is just a footpath now, but is lined with Horse Chestnut trees, where every Autumn my son collects hundreds of conkers - hence the name of this cache.
There is a good footpath through the woods (though it can be muddy), and the cache is located about 10 metres to the left of the path at the coordinates stated above.
The cache is a small clip-box in a camo bag. It contains a log, pen, a home-made keyring (thank micro-zeetee for that), a couple of hair-clips and a toy R2-D2.
I have to give credit to my daughter who found the hiding place - I think its a great spot!
As the cache is located in the wood itself, you may find the GPS coordinates are a slightly off - but I did spend some time getting an averaged waypoint for it, so hopefully they'll be pretty close.
If you're really struggling - check the spolier photo and the hint.
FTF honours go to mabboz less than an hour since publishing! Congratulations!
