I rejoice at this wondrous find. What incredible preservation of the parchement, this may be the last reminder of this civilization. To say some believed they had not developped writing. It appears entirely alien. I will attempt to decypher it.

Searched various references, incredible, how did this make it to the frozen North.
Nov 15th, 18-
Managed to solve part of it: "A great treasure...hidden...far...brought where people walk on water." I believe the remainder to be directions to find the artefacts. Famous and fortune - knowledge is still my goal.

Managed to secure funding and supplies for an expedition to travel deeper into the frozen wasteland.
Dec 1st, 18-
The cold is bitter and nothing to be found. No temple, not even a misplaced rock. The directions were clear, where did I go wrong? I must turn back the storm is filling my tracks as quickly as I make them.
Dec 4th, 18-
Made it back to a small hamlet. I have lost threes toes and two fingers. Standing outside even short moments chills me deeply. I will not be able to continue looking for the relics. I had to burn the parchement for the little heat it could give. The directions are scorched in my head
