Little picnic & fishing park on Mirror Lake. Semi-Winter friendly. Bring your fishing pole or Tip-up.
I won the cache container via raffle drawing at the Surrey House Meet & Greet in Harrison, MI on 12/7/08.
After getting my first GPS device as a Christmas gift I ventured out to hide my first cache : ) Buuurrrrrr cold day to hide it!
The area is a quiet, pretty little park on a small lake near my home. Great lake for fishing all year. The container is a plastic, camouflaged covered cache. It's above the ground hence winter friendly.
The town is a quaint resort town. Popular to boaters & snowmobilers. To the year around residents it's a close knit small town community. The new library is a must see. The general store in town is interesting with new & old merchandise where I've found great stuff for geocaching, ammo boxes, burlap, camouflage tape, trinkets, etc...
Down Town Fife Lake is on the lake. It's known for the Best 4th in the North.
Snowmobile state trail #5 runs along the area of this cache.
Mirror Lake is with-in the village limits of Fife Lake. Tucked out of sight, a very peaceful little no-wake lake. Loons nest on both Fife & Mirror Lakes. All summer the loon calls can be heard through out the village.
