Geocache Description:

!!! FTF Congrats DBRambling FTF !!! I bet AWEMM was biting his tounge when this came out.

Rancho Los Amigos is a very large medical campus which surrounds Imperial Highway in the City of Downey. Its on both sides of Imperial. The north side is fully in operation with a 395 bed rehabilitation hospital. The southside was also the old hospital before it was moved to the north sometime in the 50's. The south campus is a complete ghost town. I drive by the southside sometimes at night with coworkers just to get them spooked a little. They called this place back in the 1800's the "Poor Farm".

Most of the south side is all boarded and gated up. Except for the courthouse and some warehouses. But sometimes the gates are open and you can drive right on in and even go inside the old hospital.
The cache is located in a field which now houses; well I dont want to even know whats out there, but anyway, I placed the cache at night and got freaked out when a coyote ran past me.
You can get to the cache by 2 ways. You can go behind a warehouse on Flores street. 2nd, there is an open gate on Descanso where you can go to Laurel and there is another gate that is wide open leading to the field.( this one is harder)
Your looking for a regular cache in a wide open field
