Geocache Description:

This is a nanocache placed in a city park. We placed this cache along with our niece in honor of a family wedding today.

There are many neat parks and artwork in Charles City. This cache brings you to some of both. You could also enjoy the nearby museum and river walk.

We placed this cache on Valentines Day, 2009 in remembrance of a wonderful V-Day wedding in our family. Congratulations Meg and Tony! The wedding was at a nearby church so we thought this was an appropriate place.

As late as 1850, a Winnebago Indian village of 150 wigwams was located on the southwest side of the Cedar River, on the site of the present-day Andres Memorial Park. Andres Memorial Park was the site of the McKinley School from 1871 to 1968 when it was destroyed by the historic tornado in town. You can learn much more at the nearby Floyd County Historical Museum.

Cache requires some stealth. Also may require an extractor tool. Please replace the cache exactly as you found it.
