Geocache Description:

PLEASE DON’T TAKE THE BALL AND CHAIN TB UNLESS YOU PLAN ON PUTTING OUT ANOTHER KING KONG SIZED CACHE… Do your part! Try to balance out the cache equilibrium by placing another “Really Big” cache to keep micros from ruling the world !

Old Arabian Proverb:
And the Prophet said, 'And lo, the beast looked upon the face of beauty. And it stayed its hand from killing. And from that day, it was as one dead.'

RUMOURS AND TALES OF MYSTERY
Many a story is told, of large Ape like creatures, called by as many different names as there are native tongues to tell the tale. They inhabit remote areas, and are always just out of reach of a focused lens. History tells us of the fondness that Kong had for Lacie, the Forest Gorilla in the NY City Zoo, that Kong set free as he rampaged the city in the early thirties. What isn’t mentioned is that Lacie escaped the city, while Kong was attacked, and made her way down the mountain chains that lead southward. Soon she was blessed with two sons of Kong’s, King Jr, and Mighty Joe. While not of their fathers’ stature, they were large, strong and very stealthy. Mighty Joe moved into the Pocono’s region, where he found a bride and fathered large apelike children of his own….
King Jr, was more of a loner, he hitched the late night freight cars like a hobo heading south bound…. He found the jungle like swampy lands near the Econ River very much to his liking, and lived there off wild oranges and palm hearts, and fish from the river. Life was good for King Jr… at least for awhile.
One day he was surprised by some blaze orange hunters who bopped him on the head and laid him out cold… When he came to, it was dark, but through the flickering light of the dying campfire he saw a dark figure, who signaled him to be quiet….. Soon he was free from the binds that tied him, and he hobbled off with the beautiful lady “ape” that had freed him, leaving the drunken snores of the rednecks behind him. She was “Lucy” and had been free since the hurricanes in South Florida had destroyed her cage. He still had an annoying weight attached to his leg, the rednecks had chained a bowling ball to him, but at least they didn’t make him wear the shoes !
They stopped a fair distance away, where King Jr pried it off and then banged it back together, bending it so it couldn’t be opened and used again. He hid it in a 5 gallon Flatouts Brand Kitty Litter camoed container that he found nearby, and tossed it into the bushes where it wouldn’t be found.

Your job is to find the container he tossed, and take the ball and chain TB even further away from where he lives, making a new cache to put it in that’s on the King Kong sized scale… the first one to do this can email me for the prize, a very cool, new “first to find” unregistered coin that I will mail to you or make some arrangement to get to you. Now remember, the Coin is for “First To Complete “not just the first to sign the log. Be prepared by bringing a small back pack and a towel to wrap it in. Make sure to start at the “magnetix” cache and park by the big metal pole across the street to get to the path towards the river. This is a beautiful walk and there are some other very cool hides along the way. Please hide the huge thing better than you found it !

And at the closing credits……………..

Police Officer Lieutenant: Well, Denham, the airplanes got him.
Denham: Oh, no. It wasn't the airplanes. It was Beauty killed the Beast.

Now we would like to see this theme continued, with a series of very large caches left in the wake of Hockeyhicks Ball n Chain, but after the first one it’s out of our hands….

SPECIAL THANKS TO HOCKEYHICK ! Thanks for weighing me down with this burden, and with only one way out of the pattern of Event caches..... make a regular one big enough and drop it there.... hats off to those two cachers before me that actually found a place to put it ! Roll on !

And the palmettos are tied on with fiber from the fronds... not a man made article in site. Inside was a bed made of fronds... and the odor ! We quickly left, and had the distinctive feeling of being watched ! Use Caution !
