Geocache Description:

Canto Mosqueiro

A Cache

ENGLISH

Canto Mosqueiro is part of one of the extremities of the Tróia-Sines Coastal Arch that is constituted by one of the beaches with the biggest length of sand of the world.  The Tróia-Sines Coastal Arch is constituted by a continuous sandy coastline, with around of 65 km of length, between the mouth of the river Sado and Sines. This coastline presents several coastal lagoons of the which are detached the Pond of Santo André and the Pond of Melides.  The sediments of beach are constituted by sands, thin in the north extreme of the peninsula of Tróia, increasing progressively of diameter for south, being of very rough sand in the beaches located at north of Sines.  The grains of sand are in his majority constituted by grains of quartz.

The zone of beach at north of Sines is not very requested in the summer, due to the force of the Sea and to its constant undulation.  However the presence of fishermen is a constant along the year, where the striped bass and the white seabream are the especies more captured.

The Cache
It is hidden in Canto mosqueiro.
It is necessary to follow the IP8, and leave it in the moment you find the indication of Canto Mosqueiro. We ask special attention for the fact that the IP8 is a road with two ways for each direction, by this reason do not try to cross it. It can be extremely risky.

The Challenge
The challenge of this cache is not resumed only to the find of the cache, we thought that it would be funny to propose you a walk along the beach that we like a lot to do.  We would like to challenge you to walk in the sand of the beach in direction to other two caches:

Artificial (900 m)
Foz da Ribeira das Camarinheiras (2 Kms)

We expect that you like the walk that we propose to you.
