Geocache Description:


[ENG] Cache is located on one side of Jaunjelgava - Kegums road in the concrete bunker for macinegun positions, which most probably was used by germans during 1stWW. Length of object along the road is approximately 15m, embankment is overgrown with small pines and bushes. From the porthole of the object is direct view to the island on Daugava river. 1-2 km down the river are piers of blowned up Daugava bridge as well as turning to Taurkalne.

As I was not able to get more info on this place, every additional information is welcomed.

[LAT] Slepnis novietots Jaunjelgava-Kegums cela mala, betona-ložmeteju pozicijas bunkura, kas iespejams tika pielietots vaciešu vajadzibam 1. pasaules kara laika. Objekta garums gar celu ~15 metri, uzberums apaudzets ar prieditem un krumiem. No objekta šaujamlukas paveras skats uz Daugava esošo salinu. Aptuveni 1-2 km lejup uz Keguma pusi atrodas uzspridzinata Daugavas tilta balsti, ka ari pagrieziens uz Taurkalni.
