How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

The cache container really isn’t a Micro. We just liked the name.

Bonus points if you approach this cache in a boat or canoe. Can’t imagine why you would do that but you could. The overland route is full of sites. Scouting this we saw grouse, woodchuck, Canada geese, whitetail, mallard, wood duck, and a bald eagle. Though your body may tell you that it’s a good place to rest, there are no picnic tables and camping here is not allowed.

The cache you seek is still small but holds some items besides the log and pencils. There is an FTF prize and a small geocoin from Texas. Take your time and enjoy the surroundings. You should be able to see or hear muggles from any approach.

Your parking options will vary greatly depending upon the time of year you seek this cache. So you may have more than a mile of walking round-trip. The longer walk was taken into account for the terrain rating.

This cache is registered with the Three Rivers Park District. Please enjoy your visit and obey the park rules.

Credit for the background image goes to Smiling Duo. Thank you for taking the picture!

Photos are, of course, welcome.

Congratulations to FreiGuy on his early FTF here!
