How Geocaching Works

The Alberta cache is located in Hanlon Creek Park. There is a parking lot located off of Kortright Ave. Follow the path along the bottom of the hill towards the cache. The park is very popular for people walking their dogs or simply going for a walk/run. The cache is well away from the playground and splash pad that are both located near the parking lot, so the only problems with muggles will be others travelling down the path. Please hide the cache where it was originally located so that other may enjoy the fun of this hide. Also make sure to do the other caches in this area on both sides of Kortright Ave.
The “Across Canada Series” was designed as a 11 stage multi-cache that takes you through several parks in the south end of Guelph. The ten provinces are represented by micro caches (35mm film canisters) that have been placed in various locations and are supported by a small copper wire. The micro caches are all covered in brown duct tape for camouflage.
Each micro has a letter written on the inside of the cap which will be needed in order to solve the final cache location. There is also a log book and a pencil located in each cache.
Once you have found all of the provinces, plug the letters and their corresponding number into the mathematical equation in the Across Canada – Canada Cache final to locate the cache location.
Make sure you check out the rest of the Across Canada series!!
