Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Sprain Ridge Park, a 278 acre park in Yonkers, offering one of the best mountain bike trail systems in the area. The park is heavily wooded with some interesting rock outcroppings and hiking trails.

Upon entering the park you will see a sign listing park entry fees. These are for use of the pool only. There is no fee to use the trails. Continue past the sign and stay left. Follow pool parking signs into the lot. There are other parking areas, but we recommend this one.

The Park opens at 8am and closes at dusk, 7 days a week, year-round.

When we placed "Ridge View", almost four years ago, there was a lot of talk about a major development project that threatened the park. Now, the project has begun and the park survived so we’ve placed these additional caches. Because the trails are mostly for mountain biking, you will find that they are VERY winding. We suggest that you use your track log. If you do any bushwhacking, you will most likely reach a trail before long. Also, be aware of the bikers as they can come up on you very quickly.Ridge Park Trail Map
