Lazdu kalns - pilskalns atrodas Gulbenes-Smiltenes sosejas labaja mala, pie Lazdukalnu majam. Pilskalns ierikots savrupa, 15 m augsta kalna. Lazdu kalns ir savrups apals kalns ar pakajes atzarojumiem ziemelpuse. Plakumam vienadi pari 60 m, bet otradi 75 m un to norobezo 5 m augstas sanmalas, kas panaktas, aprokot gravi un uzbedumu. Kalns apaudzis ar lielu mezu, bet gar plakuma malam apstaditas liepas. Kalnu turejis par muizas parku bijušais Blomes muizkungs un ierikojis kalna ari tacinas, kas tagad aizaugusas.
Kalna esot senlaikos pils stavejusi. Kad pilij uzbrukusi ienaidnieki, tad iedzivotaji begdami apslepusi savu naudu un mantu Naudas purva, kas ir kalna ziemelu pakaje. Daudzi to meklejot ar iesmiem badidami, bet nevienam vel neesot izdevies to atrast.
Lazdu kalns ir liels un specigs pilskalns, kura pils drosi vien pieredzejusi Vidzemes dalisanas laikus.

Lazdu (Hazel) Hill - hill fort is located on the right side of Gulbene-Smiltene highway near Lazdukalni country estate. Hill fort is mounted in a free-standing, 15 m high hill. Lazdu Hill is a solitary, rounded hill with some foothill branches north side. Flat area is about 60 x 75 m, demarcated by 5 m high sidewalls, which are created through digging of a ditch. In steeper places such diggings pass in a terrace. Beyond the terrace, further downhill, starts natural foothill and 5 meters below it switches to cornfields or pastures.
Hill fort has two entrances which are located opposite each other - the south-east and north-west side. In these places the hill sides are more flattened than elsewhere. At south-east entrance is located large stone, routed around by treasure hunters. In the middle of flat area stretches about 3 m high wall, left as a part of natural surface. The occupation of hill fort is weak, without any findings. 300 m south of the hill fort is located the Old Cemetery, the so-called Grantskalninš (Gravel Hill).
Hill fort is well preserved, apart from some treasure hunter holes.
The hill is garnished with a large forest, but along the flat area edges are planted linden. Former manor of Blomes Estate used hill fort as Manor Park and installed there some pathways which are not preserved until nowadays.
Ancient times there were a castle. When the enemies attacked the castle, the inhabitants fled away and hood their money and belongings in the Naudas purvs (Money bog), located in foothills north side. Many people had searched for it butting with a skewer, but no one was not yet managed to find it.
Lazdu Hill is a large and strong hill fort which castle probably has seen the Vidzeme dividing time.
