Camo covered quart Coleman jug. Access by gravel logging road, 4WD not necessary. Right next to the road. Easy turn around at the cache even for compact rental cars. Do NOT drive off the road, these logging roads do NOT have verges, they have ditches covered in vegetation.
Awesome scenic drive, here you will see the whole Sol Duc Valley open up before you every time you pass a clear cut. If you continue to the old coordinates to see the incredible view, I suggest you walk the last 400 yards since the last road, where you would turn left off the main one you are on, is now very overgrown, which is why we moved the cache. Old coordinates are N 48° 02.356 W 124° 24.191 well worth the visit to see the views from Lake Crescent to the Pacific Ocean. 2/1/2019 Update. Home from the Navy for a whole week. Moved it again. Once again overgrown at old site so moved to a very fresh clear cut, this should keep the views clear for a few years. Enjoy. Nice easy turn around spot this time. It was very cloudy and rainy today so I hope the new coordinates are good enough. The hide should be obvious when you get there.
